Theme: Local Action, Global Impact
The Iowa Governor’s Conference on Public Health is a must-attend event for all Iowans who work in public health, environmental health, primary care, health promotion, health education, laboratory sciences and more! Conference attendees receive profession-specific knowledge and exposure to other disciplines within public health. You will hear from national, state and local experts in public health, have the chance to network with state and local partners, and reconnect with friends and colleagues as you attend the keynote speakers, concurrent sessions, poster presentations, exhibits and association meetings. See the pages below for more information!
The conference theme Local Action, Global Impact was selected by the committee to represent the importance of the work being done in public health. The theme represents the importance of the work individuals do to make a difference in their local community, which also expands to have a larger global impact within public health.
You are invited to submit a student poster abstract for the 2020 Iowa Governor’s Conference on Public Health. This is a great opportunity to share your work with over 500 public health professionals and make connections with educational and vocational entities.
Poster abstracts will be accepted based on how well the content meets the needs and interests of the public health community and the clarity of the information presented, and will be reviewed by members of the conference planning committee. The deadline for submission is Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 11:59 PM. You will be notified of acceptance by the end of February.
