Why Corporate Membership in IPHA?

According to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, “Businesses are not isolated from the communities and markets in which they operate. In fact, businesses contribute to their communities’ greater well-being through their policies, resources, and incentives, while the overall health of communities can contribute to a business’s viability, performance, and priorities. Recognizing the importance of investing in health beyond corporate walls, businesses and other collaborators are seeking new ways to invest in community health and well-being.”

The health of Iowans is inextricably linked to where we live, learn, work and play.  Public health matters to every Iowan, every day.  That’s why we invite Iowa corporations who value the public's health and want to catalyze the return on investment that public health offers to join IPHA.

Improving the public health of Iowa is a collective effort and frankly, should be everyone’s business.  Iowa corporations can play a vital role in promoting health through corporate membership in IPHA.
