Rachel Schramm is a Senior Health Education Specialist at Linn County Public Health, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology from Iowa State University (2010), an M.S. in Community Development from Iowa State University (2016), and has been a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®) from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. since 2010. Rachel joined Linn County Public Health in 2016, and leads many of the activities related to food systems, active transportation, and health equity within the community.
Prior to joining Linn County Public Health, Rachel served as a Health Educator at the Iowa Cancer Consortium and Program Manager of the Comprehensive Cancer Control Program at the Iowa Department of Public Health. She currently serves on various coalitions and committees including: the Iowa Public Health Association, Marion Bike and Pedestrian Advisory Council (BPAC), BikeCR (Cedar Rapids), Linn County Food Systems Council, Cedar Rapids Food Environment Alliance, and the Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization’s (MPO) Safe Routes to School planning committees.
