Barbara Chadwick holds several advanced degrees and certifications in professional nursing, Program Evaluation Certification (social sciences research methodologies and advanced statistics), and is a Legal Nurse Consultant. Additionally, she has practiced as an advanced registered nurse practitioner in a solo practice setting, group practice settings and as a State MCH Nurse Consultant for the Texas Health Department. Most recently, she is a graduate of the yearlong Great Plains Public Health Leadership Institute. She has 31 years supervisory and management experience in leadership positions with progressive responsibility in community-based public and private health care sectors. Additionally, she has served as faculty for a number of undergraduate and graduate institutions of higher learning. Oversight and support has been to a broad range of health care professionals. During her career, she has served on numerous local and State professional committees both as a founder and as a Board Member/officer. Currently, she is the Community Health Division Manager at Linn County Public Health (LPHA) where she has served for four years. Barbara serves in leadership positions with a variety of community partnership coalitions that address access to care issues throughout our area. Her day-to-day operations responsibilities include the implementation of an EMR and billing system. Occasionally, Barbara has the opportunity to serve as preceptor for students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels, who have interest in careers in public health.
