Elizabeth Faber lives in Clear Lake, Iowa with her husband Kurt and their three young sons. She has an undergraduate degree in health science from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri and a master's in public health degree from the
University of Minnesota.
Elizabeth is MCHES-certified.
Elizabeth has previously worked in public health program planning and evaluation in the areas of substance abuse prevention. Elizabeth most recently served as the Iowa Region 2 Public Health Preparedness Director serving 18 counties in north central and northeastern
Iowa with the CDC's Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant. She assisted the local agencies with emergency preparedness grant requirements.
Elizabeth currently works as an independent public health consultant. Her professional passion is serving as a strong advocate for strengthening public health at the local level.
This is Elizabeth's second term on the IPHA Board of Directors. She also serves on the IPHA Staffing Committee.
Elizabeth is the current Iowa Society of Public Health Educators President. In her free time Elizabeth and her family love to travel but her favorite location is her family lake cabin in northern
Minnesota.
